Telecel Cash Ready Loan Calculator

If you are looking for a quick mobile loan in Ghana, the Telecel Cash (formerly Vodafone Cash) is one of the fastest options available. But before you dial the code, you need to know exactly how much you will pay back.

Unlike some apps that hide their fees, Telecel is transparent about their charges, but the math can still be tricky if you are calculating penalties.

Earn More Cash Today built this simple Telecel Cash Ready Loan Calculator to help you see your total repayment amount, the service fee, and what happens if you miss the deadline.

How the Interest and Fees Work

Many users get confused about the difference between the “Service Fee” and the “Late Payment Fee.” Here is the breakdown based on the official Ready Loan terms and conditions.

1. The Service Fee (8.9%)

Telecel charges a flat monthly service fee of 8.9% on the amount you borrow.

  • Example: If you borrow GHS 100, the fee is GHS 8.90.
  • Total Repayment: You must pay back GHS 108.90 within 30 days.

2. The Late Payment Penalty (12.5%)

This is where it gets expensive. If you do not pay the full amount by the due date (30 days), you are charged a one-time penalty of 12.5%.

This 12.5% is calculated on the total outstanding amount (Principal + Service Fee), not just the money you borrowed.

  • Example: If you owe GHS 108.90 and miss the deadline, the penalty is 12.5% of 108.90, which is roughly GHS 13.61.
  • Your debt jumps to roughly GHS 122.51.

Who Can Apply?

Not everyone qualifies immediately. To access the Ready Loan (funded by Consolidated Bank Ghana – CBG), you must meet these three criteria:

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • You need an active Telecel Cash Wallet.
  • Often, loan limits increase the more you use Telecel Cash for transactions like bill payments, transfers, and airtime purchases.
