About Redbubble
Redbubble is a Print-on-Demand (POD) marketplace that allows artists to sell their designs on products like t-shirts, stickers, mugs, and phone cases. It is completely passive: you upload the design, and Redbubble handles the printing, shipping, and customer service whenever a customer makes a purchase.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. Is it free to join?
Yes. It costs nothing to open a shop and upload designs. Redbubble makes money by keeping the 'Base Price' of the product, while you keep the markup.
2. How much profit do I make?
You set your own margins. The default is 20%, but you can adjust it. If a sticker costs $2.00 to make and you sell it for $3.00, you keep the $1.00 profit.
3. Do I need to be a professional artist?
No. Simple text-based designs or funny slogans often sell very well. You just need to ensure you are not infringing on copyright (no Disney, Marvel, etc. unless part of the Fan Art program).
4. How does shipping work?
Redbubble has 3rd-party printers all over the world. When a customer buys an item, it is printed at the facility closest to them and shipped directly. You never touch the inventory.
5. When do I get paid?
Redbubble pays monthly. If you reach the payment threshold ($20), your earnings are sent to your PayPal or bank account around the 15th of the following month.
